The qplex Remembrance Day ceremony has been cancelled for a second year.
Ed McMahon, chair of the Kennebecais Valley Remembrance Day committee, says its become
“increasingly difficult” to pull it off with fewer participants.
“People dropping out that would take part in the ceremony plus we’d have to man all the doors to check for vaccination reports and it’s too hard for the legion to do,” McMahon said.
McMahon said they are disappointed because it’s the second year without the service and because the event normally gets a good turnout.
A smaller ceremony will be held in the parking lot of the K.V. Legion on the Marr Road in Rothesay for invited guests and veterans.
