A person in their 70s in the Edmundston area has died as a result of COVID-19.
The number of deaths in New Brunswick linked to the pandemic has reached 107.
The province also added 40 new cases of the virus.
After 81 recoveries, the active caseload is now 689.
The Moncton region has 11 new cases.
The Saint John area adds nine while the Fredericton zone has seven cases.
Public Health reported on Saturday that 83.6 per cent of eligible New Brunswickers are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 while 92.1 per cent have received their first jab.
Another New Brunswicker has died because of COVID-19. Public Health reports a person in their 70s in the Edmundston zone has passed away. It’s the 107th death linked to the pandemic.
