A collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian near Scoudouc left a 33-year-man dead.
Around 8:30 p.m. Friday night, RCMP officers from Sackville, Shediac and Caledonia Region responded to a report of a collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian on Highway 2 near the Scoudouc exit.
The pedestrian, a man from Moncton, died at the scene from his injuries.
The vehicle’s driver was not injured.
An RCMP collision reconstructionist responded to the scene and is helping with the investigation.
An autopsy has been scheduled to determine the man’s exact cause of death.
The crash closed the highway for several hours.
