St. Stephen RCMP say the body of a man has been discovered near Mayfield.
On Saturday, Oct. 23, at approximately 5:20 p.m., the police service responded to a call from a property owner who found a body in a wooded area near Route 735.
An autopsy has been scheduled to help identify the man and determine the exact cause of death.
Members of the RCMP Forensic Identification Services, RCMP Major Crime Unit, and the New Brunswick Coroner’s office are assisting with the investigation.
The investigation is ongoing.
