New Brunswick Public Health reported 51 new cases of COVID-19 and one virus-related death on Sunday.
A person in their 80s in the Moncton region has died, which brings the total number of COVID-19-related deaths in the province to 108.
There are 14 new cases in the Moncton region, 16 in the Saint John area, and seven in the Fredericton zone.
Elsewhere in the province, there are four new cases in the Edmundston region, eight in the Campbellton area, one case in the Bathurst zone, and one in the Miramichi region.
There are 41 patients in hospital due to the virus, and 11 people are in an intensive care unit.
There are 627 active cases after 112 recoveries.
83.7 per cent of eligible New Brunswickers are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and 92.1 per cent have received their first dose of a vaccine.
Rapid screening kit pickup program
Beginning Monday, Oct. 25, mobile rapid screening kit pickup sites will open across the province.
Twenty additional mobile sites have been identified across the province by Horizon Health Network. Each mobile site will be open one day a week from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., or until supply runs out.
The tests are designed for people two and older. Most kits have five tests to be used over a 10-day period. People 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult to acquire a kit.

The mobile sites are in addition to four hub sites which will now be open from 1 until 6 p.m. Monday to Friday.
- Moncton: 380 MacNaughton Ave. (the former Distribution Brunet Inc. building, across from Canada Bread and before Maritime Hydraulics);
- Saint John: Diamond Jubilee Cruise Terminal, 333 Water St.
- Fredericton: Exhibition Grounds, 361 Smythe St.
- Miramichi: 365 Wellington St. (former Kerr’s Construction site in Chatham)
