New Brunswick reported 48 new COVID-19 cases on Friday and 41 more recoveries.
There are now 556 active cases with 28 people in hospital, including 17 in an ICU.
A 14-day circuit breaker begins tonight for a large section of the Saint John region (Zone 2) begins at 6 p.m.
The Saint John region has the highest number of new cases with 21, the Moncton area follows with 17, and there are three new cases in the Fredericton area.
Officials also announced five cases in the Miramichi region and one each in the Edmundston and Campbellton zones.
There are 116 active cases in the Saint John region and 224 active cases in the Moncton health zone.
Of the new cases, 56 per cent are unvaccinated, 25 per cent are partially vaccinated, 19 per cent are fully vaccinated.
Public Health said 84.7 per cent of eligible residents are fully vaccinated, 92.5 per cent have received their first dose.

The 17 new cases in Zone 1 (Moncton region) are as follows:
eight people 19 and under;
two people 20-29;
four people 30-39;
a person 40-49; and
two people 50-59.
All 17 cases are under investigation.
The 21 new cases in Zone 2 (Saint John region) are as follows:
11 people 19 and under;
a person 20-29;
three people 30-39;
a person 40-49;
three people 50-59; and
two people 60-69.
All 21 cases are under investigation.
The three new cases in Zone 3 (Fredericton region) are as follows:
a person 20-29;
a person 30-39; and
a person 60-69.
All three cases are under investigation.
The one new case in Zone 4 (Edmundston region) is a person 20-29. This case is under investigation.
The one new case in Zone 5 (Campbellton region) is a person 30-39. This case is under investigation.
The five new cases in Zone 7 (Miramichi region) are as follows:
two people 20-29;
two people 30-39; and
a person 40-49.
All five cases are under investigation.
