Saint John police are offering tips for Halloween safety this weekend.
They suggest motorists watch out for kids walking on the road and to enter and exit driveways slowly.
As for trick or treaters, they should plan their route, stay on one side of the road, wear bright colours or add reflective tape to their costumes.
The police also suggest small kids are being accompanied to the door while older kids should travel in groups.
Once home with all the sugary loot, be sure to inspect the candy before eating it.
