WorkSafeNB is reporting an increase in confirmed COVID-19 cases transmitted through workplace exposures in New Brunswick.
In a news release Friday, the agency said Public Health has confirmed cases transmitted through workplace exposures in recent weeks.
“These include workplaces in health care, long-term care, education, childcare facilities, construction and manufacturing,” WorkSafeNB said in a news release.
On Friday, the agency reported that there have been nearly 30 cases connected to just three workplaces, and the number continues to rise.
WorkSafeNB says employers must take every reasonable precaution to keep their workplace healthy.
“This includes assessing the risk of COVID-19 and putting measures in place such as a communicable disease prevention plan to protect workers and clients,” it said in a news release.
