Heavy rainfall caused service disruptions across Saint John.
Over Twitter, Saint John Transit mentioned that Route 1A will not be able to serve Rothesay Avenue.
It will instead leave East Point then the bus will go right on Westmorland, right on Loch Lomond, left on Bayside, right on the causeway, right on Crown, left on Paul Harris, right on Brunswick back to regular route.
Route 1B will not be able to serve Rothesay Avenue as well. From Waterloo, the bus will go right on Brunswick, left on Paul Harris, left on Crown, right on Thorne, straight on Loch Lomond, left on Westmorland, and back onto the regular route at East Point.
Route 31 will only be servicing Mystery Lake and Reading Crescent areas.
As well, there will be no service to the Glen Falls area until further notice.
Meantime, the City of Saint John said the following roads remain impacted as of 5:30 p.m. Monday:
- University Avenue: closed from the Saint John Regional Hospital to Sandy Point Road
- 111 McAllister Drive (in front of McDonald’s): Water on road, drive with caution
- Westmorland Road (Sport Chek entrance): Lane closed
- Haymarket Square: Water on road, drive with caution
- Westfield Road (In front of 2848 Westfield Road): Reduced to one lane
- End of Rothesay Avenue at the train bridge: Water covering all lanes, however, road is still open. Motorists are encouraged to avoid this area.
- Glen Road between Simpson Drive and Brown Street: Road closed
- Brown Street at Glen Road: closed
