The US is making changes to their vaccine policy when it comes to crossing land borders.
In the new year, if you are an essential traveler (who is NOT a US resident) you will need to be fully vaccinated as of January 22, 2022.
This means that if you’re crossing the land border and you are a truck driver, emergency response or government worker, etc. you’ll have to have proof of both vaccine doses.
This now matches the rules for non-essential travelers going to the states. This is also applicable if you were to take a ferry to cross into the US.
Approximately, 14 per cent of US residents are still not vaccinated according to data from the CDC.
