A 56-year-old Fredericton woman has died in a two-vehicle crash south of Bathurst.
Mounties were called to the collision on Highway 8 in Allardville around 6 p.m. Thursday night.
RCMP believe a southbound SUV crossed the centre line and collided with a northbound transport truck.
The driver and only occupant of the SUV died at the scene of her injuries.
The truck driver wasn’t hurt.
An autopsy will determine the woman’s exact cause of death.
Highway 8 near Bathurst was closed overnight but reopened this morning.
