The New Brunswick labour force added about 1,000 jobs in November, according to the latest data from Statistics Canada.
Numbers for last month show that a gain of about 1,300 full-time positions offset the losses that occurred in part-time positions.
The provincial unemployment rate tumbled by 0.6 per cent to 8.5 per cent.
Regional data indicates Saint John’s employment is up about 200 positions, accompanied by a minor increase in unemployment.
In Moncton, the labour force took a hit, losing around 900 jobs.
On a national level, Canada had its fair share of gains, adding 154,000 jobs, with a balanced number of new full-time and part-time positions.
Nationally, the unemployment rate fell to 6.0%, within 0.3 percentage points, of what it was in February 2020.
