Fifty-one Glen Legacy of Riverview was a quiet man, who didn’t have a mean bone in his body, that according to his brother Neil.
Legacy was the victim of a fatal car crash on Highway 1 in Petitcodiac this week.
Neil says his brother was on his way home from visiting his girlfriend in Saint John on Sunday night, when he lost control of his vehicle and hit the guard rail.
RCMP says he died at the scene as a result of his injuries.
“His full name was Glendon, but everyone called him Glen. Every weekend he would go down to see his girlfriend, for many years. He was a very quiet and personal person. We are going through his stuff now, but he was someone who kept to himself. He had his toys, his skidoos and four wheelers. He actually just bought his winter pass for the skidoo trails. He worked 37 years at Taylor Ford, and was very hardworking,” Neil says.
He adds the news has been very hard on his whole family, especially just days before Christmas, “It is kind of rough right now. We are still going to celebrate Christmas as much as we can, because I’m sure he wouldn’t want this to ruin our Christmas.”
Neil says they will spend the next couple of days making arrangements for Glen, but they will celebrate him during the holiday season.
“It’s hard on my parents because he lived with them. My mother and father, who are both in their eighties are still in shock,” Neil says.
The family is making arrangements for Glen Legacy this week.
