Mounties say a 33-year-old man wanted on a Canada-wide warrant is now back in custody.
Police say Winton Labelle Saulis was taken into custody by Keswick RCMP on Tuesday.
Saulis was unlawfully at large after failing to return to his correctional facility in Saint John on Sept. 18.
He was serving a 52-month sentence for assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, and uttering threats, according to Saint John police.
“Since then, Winton Saulis has been the subject of several complaints and is now arrestable for assault with a weapon causing bodily harm,” the RCMP said in a news release Monday as they issued a public appeal to help find him.
The Saint John Police Force issued a similar appeal late last week for the second time since Saulis went missing.
RCMP thanked the public for their help with the case.
