Fire crews in the Kennebecasis Valley were on the scene of a house fire in Quispamsis late Thursday morning.
Firefighters responded to a call on Edwards Drive around 11 a.m.
Kennebecasis Valley Fire Division Chief Shawn White says the owner of the home put out the blaze with a fire extinguisher by the time crews arrived at the scene.
“There was no injuries and we were on scene for approximately 30 minutes, along with police and ambulance,” said White. “The fire does not appear to be suspicious at this time and we are just investigating the cause.”
White says the fire was contained to an area near the home’s front garage door.
The structure did not receive very much smoke or fire damage, so the residents are able to return to their home for the rest of the day.
