It was the most popular baby name again in New Brunswick for the seventh straight year.
According to the province, a total of 379 children have been named Liam since 2015.
There were a total of 5,560 births registered in the province from Jan. 1 to Dec. 17, down from 6,222 babies in 2020.
Other popular baby names in 2021 included William, Charlotte, Oliver, Benjamin, Noah, Owen, Levi, Thomas, Jackson, Henry, Olivia, Jacob, Hudson, Jack, James, Theodore, Sophia, Logan, Ellie, Gabriel, Paisley, Lincoln, Eli, Sophie, Willow, Isla, Emma, Ella, Abigail, Lucas and Jaxon.
The 10 most popular names in 2020 were Liam, Olivia, Jack, Noah, Jackson, Amelia, Oliver, William, Lincoln and Charlotte.
