Sixteen people have been displaced after a fire in a townhouse complex in Saint John.
Emergency crews were called to the eight-unit complex on MacLaren Boulevard on Monday evening.
Officials with the Canadian Red Cross said two units in the building were damaged in the fire.
They said there were a couple and seven children living in one unit, and a couple with five children in the adjacent.
Volunteers arranged emergency lodging and meals for the four adults and 12 children and will help with clothing purchases and other basic.
No injuries were reported in the fire and the cause has not been released.
