A missing rear bumper led Saint John police to arrest a woman wanted on an outstanding warrant.
Police said an officer on patrol in the north end stopped a vehicle with no rear bumper and an inactive registration early Wednesday morning.
Officers learned that the driver did not have a valid license, and had a warrant for failing to attend court on a prohibited driving charge, according to a news release.
“Upon her arrest, she was found in possession of a controlled substance believed to be methamphetamine,” police said in the release.
A 39-year-old woman was held in custody and is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.
