Fire crews in Grand Bay-Westfield were called into action Thursday morning.
The call came in at roughly 10:36 a.m., for a blaze involving a residential fire with four units on Woolastook Drive.
“Three of them were occupied there was one apartment vacant at the time, there were no injuries, and everybody was able to get out of the building,” said Grand Bay-Westfield Fire Chief Troy Gautreau.
Gautreau mentioned the fire started in an exterior wall.
“We were able to keep it within the exterior wall, it started in a wall and kind of went up a wall of the structure, we were able to dig in through the wall and get at it before it spread further.”
In total, two engines, a tanker, and a rescue vehicle were all on the scene.
The cost/cause of the fire is still under investigation.
Gautreau added residents have been displaced as a result of the fire.
