Saint John police arrested a 27-year-old man for attempted murder in connection with a north end shooting on Wednesday.
About 3:44 a.m., police responded after several 911 calls about a shooting in the area of Cedar Grove Crescent.
Police found a 26-year-old man with life-threatening injuries. He was taken to hospital where he remains in serious condition.
At around 2:40 a.m. Thursday, police said officers conducted a “high-risk traffic stop” where a man was arrested in connection with the shooting.
The man, whose name has not been released, has a court appearance scheduled for Thursday.
Police said both men are known to one another.
