It’s time to find the next recipients of the Saint John Y’s Red Triangle and Leader to Watch awards.
Nominations are currently being accepted to recognize two people with a strong commitment to community involvement.
The Red Triangle award has been handed out since 1990 recognizing people and organizations for “long and meritorious volunteer service”, outstanding contributions and achievement within the Y or in the greater community,
The Y has been acknowledging younger leaders since 2002.
Prospective Leader to Watch Award nominees must be 35-years-old or younger.
They must demonstrate skills, enthusiasm and leadership in their work, in a school setting or as a volunteer.
Nominations must be sent in for both awards by February 4th.
Previous winners includes organizations like PALS, BCAPI and the Sisters of Charity and people like Bill and Stephen MacMackin and the late Erminie Cohen.
The 2022 Red Triangle Awards Gala is scheduled for May 26th.
