Saint John police are looking for a 53-year-old man in connection with an alleged assault in the city’s north end.
Police said they responded to an assault in progress on Pokiok Road around 10:20 a.m. Monday.
Arriving officers located an injured woman who was taken to the hospital and later released, police said in a news release late Monday.
The suspect, who police said was known to the victim, fled the scene in a truck before officers arrived.
Police said they are looking for Fabian Cromwell, 53, who was driving a blue 2014 Dodge Ram with New Brunswick license plate CSJ-184.
“As a result of further investigation, police are now also concerned for Cromwell’s safety,” police said in the release.
Cromwell is described as approximately 5’6″ tall, weighing 230 pounds, with a muscular build. His last known location was Memramcook, N.B.
Investigators say if you see Cromwell or the blue 2014 Dodge Ram, you should contact your local police.
“Do not approach the suspect,” police said in the release.
