Police in Fredericton are investigating a reported threat involving the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital.
Officers responded to the hospital on Priestman Street shortly after 5:30 p.m. Monday “for a reported threat being made to the facility.”
In a social media post, police said they, along with staff, carried out a “thorough search” of the premises.
“The investigation determined there was no immediate threat. The investigation into the origins of the threats is ongoing,” said the post.
Access to the area was restricted while police conducted their investigation. Officers cleared the scene by 8 p.m. Monday.
