The leader of the Conservative Party of Canada is out.
The CPC caucus spent hours debating the future of Erin O’Toole as leader of the federal party Wednesday.
MPs voted 73 to 45 to remove O’Toole as party leader, he took the role less than two years ago.
Several MPs broke ranks in the past days, calling publicly for a review of O’Toole’s time at the helm, and his performance in the last election.

O’Toole faced criticism for not gaining any meaningful increase in seats during the last election, in fact not gaining a single seat, or making in-roads in the Greater Toronto Area.
