New Brunswick saw a drop in the number of people in hospital related to COVID-19 on Monday.
Public Health says 151 patients are hospitalized which is a drop of eight from Sunday with 16 requiring intensive care and eight individuals are on a ventilator.
Four deaths related to COVID-19 were reported with the breakdown as follows:
- Zone 2 (Saint John region) – one person in their 80s
- Zone 4 (Edmundston region) – two people in their 60s
- Zone 7 (Miramichi region) – one person in their 80s
The province says 344 health care workers are isolating due to exposure to COVID-19 in the two health authorities, Extra Mural program and Ambulance New Brunswick.
Of the positive COVID-19 cases identified, 261 were PCR tests and 518 were rapid tests.
In terms of vaccinations, 85.4 percent of the population aged five years and older has two doses of vaccine while 46.5 percent have had booster shots.
