Four more New Brunswickers who had COVID-19 have died, bringing the provincial death toll since the beginning of the pandemic to 282.
The new deaths involve people 80 and over in the Saint John, Bathurst, and Miramichi health zones.
There are 135 people in the hospital, five fewer from Thursday, including 13 being treated in intensive unit, that number is down by two.
Eight patients are on a ventilator, unchanged from Thursday.
Sixty-two people were admitted for COVID-19, with the remaining seventy-three admitted for other reasons.
Five people under the age of 20 are among those in the hospital with overall occupancy at 90 per cent.
The number of health care workers who tested positive for COVID-19 and are currently isolating is now at 341.
Public Health reported 359 new positive PCR tests and 568 rapid tests on Friday.
As for vaccinations, 92.5 per cent of eligible New Brunswickers have had a first dose of COVID-19 vaccine, 85.8 per cent have had a second dose and 47.3 per cent have had a booster dose.
