The premier hopes protestors will give pause for thought before taking part in the Fredericton convoy.
With the least restrictive Level 1 of the COVID-19 Winter Plan on the horizon, Blaine Higgs says demonstrators may want to ask themselves why?
“We basically see governments moving, we’ve seen it out West, we’ve seen it across the country and we’re seeing it here following our winter plan as we hope we’d be able to do.”
Higgs says the reality is we may soon move beyond the emergency order.
The premier hopes the protestors who want to be there for the right reasons will find no reason to be there and he adds for those who do show up, the question again is why?
On Wednesday, Higgs announced a change to the emergency order which gave police the authority to hand out heavy fines to anyone blocking roads.
