Provincial health officials have recorded a drop in COVID-19 linked hospitalizations.
As of Tuesday, there are 101 COVID-19 related patients in hospital, a decrease of 11 since yesterday. The number of those in hospital for the virus stands at 49, while the remaining 52 are patients who were admitted for other reasons.
Intensive care unit patients dipped to 11, compared to the 13 reported on Monday. There are now seven New Brunswickers with COVID-19 who require a ventilator.
Public Health has announced one person who had COVID-19 has died. An individual in the 90 or over age group from the Saint John health zone passed away.
The provincial COVID-19 death toll has now increased to 293.
According to the COVID-19 dashboard, New Brunswick is currently down 330 healthcare workers who are positive for the virus and isolating.
PCR test results confirmed 276 new cases of the virus on Tuesday, while an additional 678 rapid test positives have been reported to the province.
For the vaccination campaign, 92.6 per cent of eligible New Brunswickers have received their first dose, 86.1 per cent have received two doses, and 48.1 per cent have lined up for a booster.
