A heads up to those who live and work in the Central Greenwich area.
Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) members are conducting routine training on Murphy Lake.
The training exercise begins Tuesday and will continue through Friday.
Officials say the training may impact local snowmobile routes that cross the surface of the lake.
A low-flying CH-146 Griffon helicopter will also be in the area on Thursday.
“All efforts will be made to keep disruption to the public at a minimum. No weapons or ammunition will be used during the course of this exercise,” CAF said in a news release.
Training is taking place as part of Exercise FRIGID SAPPER II, 4 Engineer Support Regiment’s annual cold-weather training exercise to include cold-water immersion training for members.
