An uptown Saint John marketing agency is giving back to the community again this year.
Duke Creative Collective has launched its sixth annual Give Love Feel Good campaign.
President Katie Bowden said donations from this year’s campaign will support Avenue B, the city’s harm reduction organization.
“Avenue B runs under the radar a bit, so I thought it’d be great to shine a light on them,” Bowden said in an interview.
“Harm reduction is an important part of what we need to be doing in our community to keep people safe and I know that drug use in the community is a growing problem.”
Duke is collecting new or gently used backpacks, along with personal items like socks, toiletries, basic first aid kits, and healthy packaged items.
Bowden said they are placing a particular focus on the men who use Avenue B’s services as it is easy to forget that they also need toiletries and self-care items.
Items can be dropped off at Duke Creative Collective on Canterbury Street uptown, Moosehead Small Batch on Main Street West, or Long Bay Brewery on Marr Road in Rothesay before the end of the month.
