Public Health is reporting one death related to COVID-19 today in New Brunswick.
The individual was in their 80s from the Edmundston region.
The number of patients in hospital has fallen by three from yesterday and now sits at 72.
Of that total, 42 individuals were admitted to hospital for COVID-19 while 30 were admitted for other reasons.
Three patients are in the ICU which is a drop of two while two patients remain on a ventilator.
In terms of new positive cases, the province recorded 382 PCR tests and 696 rapid tests.
The active case count on Friday was 3,380.
The number of health care workers who are isolating connected to the virus has jumped to 420.
As for vaccinations, 86.9 percent of eligible New Brunswickers have had both doses of a COVID vaccine while 49.7 percent have had a booster shot.
Both figures were little changed from Thursday.
