A 45-year-old New Brunswick man will spend two years behind bars after a drug investigation in Alberton, P.E.I.
On September 28th, 2018, Jerry Vautour was charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.
He was sentenced in P.E.I. Supreme Court on February 25th.
Charges were laid in connection with a traffic stop search in July 2018. RCMP seized a pound of cocaine along with drug paraphernalia and cash.
Once he is released from prison, he will be required to submit a DNA sample, and is prohibited from owning weapons for life.
The drug investigation involved officers from the Prince District JFO Drug Unit, which is comprised of RCMP, Summerside, and Kensington Police Services.
