New Brunswick Public Health reported one new COVID-19 linked death and an increase in patients requiring intensive care on Tuesday.
An individual in their 60s from the Saint John region is the 312th New Brunswicker who had COVID-19 that has died.
Virus-related hospitalizations have fallen by one to 99, with 48 of those individuals admitted for COVID-19. The number of patients in ICU has risen to 12, an increase of three from Monday.
There is also one more New Brunswicker on a ventilator for a total of 5.
The number of healthcare workers in the province who have tested positive for COVID-19 and are now isolating is 573.
On the vaccine front, 92.9 per cent of the eligible population has received a first dose, 87.3 per cent is double jabbed, and 50.4 per cent has a booster.
In terms of new cases, PCR tests have confirmed 242 new infections as active cases stand at 3,920.
The Department of Health has also had 540 new rapid test positives reported to them.
