Police say two people wanted on Canada-wide warrants have been arrested on Saint John’s west side.
Warrants were issued last week for Amber Davis, 30, and Natasha Prosper, 41, also known Brooklyn.
The two were living at a community correctional centre in the city and allegedly breached the conditions of their statutory release.
Davis was serving a two-year sentence for several charges, including assault with a weapon, arson with disregard for human life, and theft.
Prosper was serving a sentence of more than 10 years for what police described as “violent offences” against a former intimate partner, including forcible confinement and assault with a weapon.
Police said they received a tip Sunday morning that Davis was staying at a motel on Manawagonish Road.
“When officers arrived, they confirmed that two wanted persons, Amber Davis and Natasha (AKA Brooklyn) Prosper, were inside a motel room, but refused to come out,” police said in a news release on Monday.
Officers obtained an entry warrant and arrested Davis and Prosper, who were both held in custody.
