The City of Saint John began its annual fire hydrant flushing program on Monday.
Over the next weeks, crews will work flushing hydrants on the west side between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.
Impacted areas include King William Road, Ocean Westway, Manawagonish Road, Dever Road, Fairville Boulevard, Main Street West and Milford/Randolph.
“Customers may experience cloudy water when running taps during the time the pipes on their street are being flushed,” reads a statement from the city.
“Though customers may encounter a drop in water pressure, at no time should they be without water. The water is safe to consume.”
The city said that as the hydrant flushing program continues throughout the summer, it will update residents on when and where flushing will take place.
