In a new feature for Men’s Health, Zac Brown shared the fitness journey that led to him being his healthiest ever at age 44 saying that a lot has changed from the band’s early days on the road. Back then their workout regimen consisted of “a bottle of Jäger before the show, during the show, and after the show.”
Zac explained that Bruce Springsteen inspired his fitness transformation, with a piece of simple advice.
“When I met Springsteen, I said, ‘Tell me something that’s helped you to stay feeling good.’ He was like, ‘Man, you need to sweat for an hour a day. I don’t care what you do, doesn’t matter. You need to sweat for an hour a day.’ I was like, ‘You’re the Boss. Let’s do it.’”
These days, Zac said that he lifts weights at least five days per week, along with an hour of cardio, such as hiking or paddleboarding.
Zac Brown Band is also gearing up for the Sept. 30 release of the deluxe edition of their album, The Comeback.
Kelsea Ballerini’s closet didn’t have the perfect look for the 2022 ACM Honors in Nashville last night so she browsed the Grammy Museum. The “Heartfirst” singer walked the red carpet wearing Shania Twain’s iconic white gown from the 1999 Grammys — with the legend’s blessing, of course.
The full-sleeve, sequined, floor-length gown is what Twain wore the night she won a Grammy for “You’re Still the One.” She also performed “Man! I Feel Like a Woman” at the 1999 Grammys. At the time, she was at the peak of her career and was arguably the most famous singer on the planet. The Marc Bouwer dress had been on display at the Grammy Museum during the Power of Women in Country exhibit.
2022 ACM Honors, which will be broadcast on Fox on Sept. 13.
