An affordable housing project in Millidgeville has been given the green light by Saint John council.
That is despite concerns from some nearby residents about noise, pollution, and increased traffic.
The proposed development at 100 Boars Head Road will consist of up to 12 units.
Eight of those will be three-bedroom units, with the rest being one- or two-bedroom units, according to the proposal.
The site in question, along with the adjacent parcel next to it, is currently being operated as a city works depot.
The applicant, listed as Kit Hickey with Rehabitat Inc., required the land to be rezoned from Utility Service to Mid-Rise Residential to allow for the development.
