Last Saturday App State hosted the iconic ESPN pregame show College GameDay with Luke Combs as the celebrity guest picker at his alma mater, Appalachian State.
The country singer is not only a legend of Boone, North Carolina, but he’s a big-time college football fan.
He was joined on the desk by the newest College GameDay team member, Pat McAfee, who’s a big Luke Combs fan and obviously knows a thing or two about getting crowds going.
When it came time to make picks for who would win that night’s game between App State and Troy, Pat did what he does best and got the crowd to sing along to “Beer Never Broke My Heart” and Luke loved every minute of it.
As Luke made his pick “App State by a MILLION” the crowd continued to sing
