Garth Brooks’ The Garth Channel on SiriusXM will sign off on Sept. 30 – six years after it debuted in September 2016.
The channel closing coincides with the end of Brooks’ stadium tour, which recently ended in Ireland
As for what’s next for Brooks, he isn’t sure about that yet. He thinks a tour of dive bars could be fun or a residency someplace. But he has something else in mind, too.
“Here’s a spoil alert,” he said. “How about being married to someone who has more Grammys than you do? Then you say, ‘What is her future, and how do I be a mate to her and whatever she wants to do?’ She’s kind of in the same place in her life where she’ll be starting new chapters. I want her to, without pause or hesitation to go, ‘I want to do this.’ Then my job is to be her love and her support.”
