The playground at Forest Hills School in Saint John was damaged by fire over the weekend.
Emergency crews were called to the east side school around 10:15 p.m. Saturday, according to Saint John police.
“The fire was extinguished by the Saint John Fire Department and no injuries were reported,” police said in a news release on Monday morning.
It was later reported to police that several windows at the school had also been damaged.
No arrests have been made, and police are asking anyone with information to contact them.

The playground fire was part of a busy weekend for first responders in the city, who also dealt with two collisions early Saturday morning.
Around 1:46 a.m. Saturday, officers responded to a single-vehicle collision on Route 1 westbound near the Catherwood Street exit, where it was reported a truck had flipped onto its side.
Police said the driver fled on foot but was arrested following a brief foot pursuit around 1:56 a.m.
The 21-year-old was arrested for impaired driving, failing to remain at the accident scene, obstructing a peace officer, and breach of house arrest.
No injuries were reported, and the accused was held in custody pending a court appearance.
Then at around 2:07 a.m. Saturday, police said a vehicle reportedly struck a bus shelter on Waterloo Street and left the scene.
“At approximately 2:16 a.m., an officer located the suspect vehicle in a parking lot on Crown Street after other occupants had allegedly left on foot A 21-year-old woman who was still in the vehicle and intoxicated was detained,” said the news release from police.
No one was hurt and the collision remains under investigation.
Police also responded to fraud in progress at a retail store on Rothesay Avenue shortly after 11:15 a.m. Saturday.
A suspect reportedly tried to buy Apple MacBook computers with a fraudulent credit card.
“It was also reported that the same suspect had allegedly made similar purchases in Halifax and Rothesay,” said the release.
A 22-year-old man was arrested for fraud and, according to police, was found in possession of fake identification, receipts, and two Apple MacBooks.
The man was held in custody pending a court appearance.
