The 2022 CMT Artists of the Year special aired on Friday night (Oct. 14) and brought country music’s biggest stars out to celebrate!
Walker Hayes and Ciara got the party started performing their upbeat new duet “Y’all Life” together. CMT Artist Of A Lifetime honoree Alan Jackson gave a rousing performance of “Chattahoochee,” and Carly Pearce got emotional singing “29.”

Riley Green also took the stage to honor Luke Combs and Kane Brown got a standing ovation performing “Like I Love Country Music.” Cody Johnson sang his latest single, โHuman” and Lainey Wilson belted out “Heart Like a Truck”.
Crystal Gayle and her sister, Peggy Sue Wright, paid musical tribute to their late sister, Loretta Lynn, and had everyone singing along to “Coal Miner’s Daughter.”
The 2022 CMT Artists Of The Year celebrated the success Carly Pearce, Kane Brown, Cody Johnson, Luke Combs, and Walker Hayes have seen throughout the past year. And Lainey Wilson was named the 2022 CMT Breakout Artist Of The Year for her incredible year.
