New charges against a man already facing more than two dozen charges in connection with a home invasion in the Kennebecasis Valley.
Thirty-three-year-old Michael Ingersoll was charged on Thursday with pointing a firearm at two people and stealing a cell phone from one of them on September 6th in Digdeguash.
He was previously charged with forcible confinement, robbery and firearms offences in relation to a Quispamsis home invasion on September 1st.
At the time, the Kennebecasis Regional Police Force said the homeowner on Gondola Point Road was not physically hurt but was “very frightened.”
Due to the new charges, the Crown said it now opposes Ingersoll’s release, while the defence requested a bail hearing.
Ingersoll appeared via video during a short court appearance in Saint John on Friday morning.
He has another court appearance on October 27th at 9:30 a.m. where all his matters will be dealt with.
