Normally in early November, many New Brunswickers are starting to think about when to install their winter tires, but not this year.
Temperatures across the province on November 5th broke many records according to Environment Canada.
It was 23 degrees in St. Stephen, crushing the old record of 19 degrees in 1982.
Fredericton reached a high of 21 degrees, beating out an old record of 19.4 set in 1948.
Grand Manan residents felt temperatures of 17.2 degrees. The last high they had was in 2010 of 15.3 degrees.
Meteorologist Jill Maepea recently told Acadia News, we are under the influence of the semi-permanent Bermuda High over the Atlantic Ocean near the Island of Bermuda.
Above-normal temperatures were expected across southern New Brunswick until the middle of the month.
October had temperatures about two to four degrees above average compared to the 30-year normal.
