Country music lost another legend.
Jeff Cook, the famed guitarist was a co-founding member of the country band Alabama, alongside his cousins, Randy Owen and Teddy Gentry. He passed away at his beach home in Destin, Florida on Monday, Nov. 7.
The band confirmed the news on Tuesday night. They shared that he died “peacefully” with his family and close friends by his side. He was 73.
Cook was in the Country Music Hall of Fame, Musicians Hall of Fame, and Fiddlers Hall of Fame, as well as being named Gibson’s Guitarist of the Year.
