There are new developments in the search for a missing 72-year-old woman in the Saint John area.
Saint John police asked for the public’s help on Thursday morning to locate Shirley Woodhouse.
At the time, police said Woodhouse was last seen around 4:15 p.m. Monday in the Westmorland Road area.
In an update Thursday evening, police said her vehicle was found unoccupied in the area of Cape Spencer on Red Head Road in Mispec around 1 p.m.
Investigators now believe Woodhouse was last seen in the Cape Spencer area between 12:30 and 1 p.m. on Tuesday.
“With the assistance of the [Saint John Police Force] K9 Unit, a search of the area was conducted; however, Woodhouse was not located,” police said in an update Thursday evening.
The RCMP have also been notified since the Mispec area is in their jurisdiction.
Woodhouse is described as 5’1″ tall, weighing 120 pounds, with grey hair and hazel eyes.
Residents in the Cape Spencer area are asked to check their property. Investigators are also appealing to anyone in the area that has video surveillance.
