Country music superstar Keith Urban is returning to the Maritimes next August.
Urban has been announced as the Friday headline for YQM Country Fest 2023 in Dieppe.
Promoter Sam Bourgeois said they could not be happier to have Urban perform at the festival.
“His name speaks for itself. He’s a multi-time Grammy award winner, countless number one hits,” Bourgeois said in an interview.
Urban has also won 15 Academy of Country Music Awards, 13 CMA Awards, and six ARIA Music Awards.
This is not the country music star’s first visit to the Maritimes. He was the first act to open the Avenir Centre in Moncton in 2018.
“It was a phenomenal show. He’s known for his live shows and I think fans are going to be very excited and pleased with his show,” said Bourgeois.
It's gonna be a "Long Hot Summer" and we can't wait to cap it off with our Friday night headliner Mr. Keith…

Organizers previously announced Thomas Rhett as the Saturday headliner. He will be joined by Cole Swindell, Gabby Barrett, and Nate Smith.
Bourgeois said more acts will be announced in the coming weeks.
“People want big stars so we’re trying to deliver the best we can and I think we certainly did that with Keith Urban and Thomas Rhett,” he said.
The two-day music festival was first held in August, bringing acts including Blake Shelton — and special guest Gwen Stefani — along with Florida Georgia Line.
This year’s show brought around 20,000 people to the MusiquArt site in Dieppe.
Bourgeois expects an even larger crowd next year, adding that ticket sales are going very well so far.
Two-day general admission passes are available for $249.99, which includes service fees and taxes, while VIP passes are going for $549.99.
