An independent investigation has been requested following an incident in Northwest Moncton.
Codiac RCMP responded to a disturbance call on November 19th on Evergreen Drive.
A man was detained without incident and taken into custody.
Around four hours later, the individual was found to be in medical distress and was taken to hospital where he is believed to be in critical condition.
The incident has been referred to the Nova Scotia Serious Incident Response Team to review police actions.
