Thousands of New Brunswickers are without power after high winds tore through the province on Wednesday night.
NB Power reported more than 2,900 homes and businesses affected by outages as of 3:10 p.m. Thursday, down from more than 7,000 earlier in the day.
Most of the outages are in the Charlotte Southwest cluster, where 2,078 customers are without electricity.
There are also 711 homes and businesses off the grid in Central York/Sunbury, 70 customers in Kings/Queens, 12 customers in Kennebecasis Valley/Fundy, and 17 customers in Greater Moncton.
Another 73 customers are without power in Sackville/Port Elgin and five customers are in Kent.
Estimated restoration times for many of the outages range from early afternoon through late evening, although it might be mid-afternoon Friday before some have their power restored.
