Two people from the Kennebecasis Valley have reasons to celebrate.
Janice Dever of Rothesay has won the New Brunswick Hospital Home Lottery grand prize showhome.
The two-storey home, located on Heritage Way in Quispamsis, is worth $1.1 million
It has four bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, and a spacious three-car garage.
In addition to winning the home, Dever will also take home $50,000 in cash.
Bernice Hamilton of Quispamsis has won the 50/50 jackpot and walks away with $578,050 in cash.
Officials said this year’s 50/50 jackpot was the largest ever at $1,156,100.
Ronald Mahoney of Hampton won the early bird prize cottage plus $20,000 cash, while Alison Garey of Sussex Corner walked away with a 2023 Chevrolet Silverado and Jayco Travel Trailer or $100,000 cash.
The winners of the other prizes up for grabs will be announced on Dec. 12.
The New Brunswick Hospital Home Lottery supports the Saint John Regional Hospital Foundation, The Chalmers Foundation in Fredericton, the Friends of the Moncton Hospital Foundation, and the CHU Dumont Foundation in Moncton.
