Saint John is looking to get rid of pieces of wood from trees that have fallen in city parks since 2019.
They’re seeking interest from non-profit groups and individuals who would like to get their hands on it.
The wood is a combination of maple, elm and linden species of various widths and conditions.
It will be placed in the compost yard at Rockwood Park for retrieval by appointment only.
The first two appointments will be given to interested non-profits, followed by individuals.
You have to fill out a short application online by next Wednesday, Dec. 14, if you are interested.
Recipients will have to cut the wood, if needed, ensure it is manageable to move, and remove it from the site.
